FINANCIAL GENERAL MEETING

 

In accordance with Rule 38 the FINANCIAL GENERAL MEETING RYDE ROWING CLUB will take place at the Clubhouse, Appley Park, Ryde, on FRIDAY, 27th FEBRUARY, 2004 at 8.00pm.

 

AGENDA

  1. To read the notice convening the Meeting.

  2. Apologies for absence.

  3. Minutes of the last meeting.

  4. To receive the Hon. Financial Secretaries Report on the year ending 31st December, 2003.

  5. To elect a Member of the General Committee (Rule 14)

  6. To consider and vote upon a recommendation from the General Committee that Rule (7) The rates of the Annual Subscriptions shall be amended as follows (current figure in brackets):-

 

Category of Membership Full Rate Rate if paid by 1st May
Regular (Rowing or Full) £100 (£85) £70 (£60)
Social Rowing/Country/Cadet (under 18) £50 (£45) £40 (£35)
Cadet (under 16) £25 (£25) £15 (£15)
Associate                            £12 (£10) £12 (£10)
Non-Rowing cadet  £5 (£3) £5 (£3)

             

  1. To consider and vote upon a proposal that the Club proceeds with the scheme to add an additional  balcony (East side of Clubhouse, over looking Appley Park) at a cost not to exceed £12,000 at a time when the Clubs General Committee consider it financially viable to do so. 

  2. To consider any other business submitted in accordance with Rule 11D.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Annual Subscriptions, (subject to any changes agreed at the Financial General Meeting) are due on 1st March, 2004 and the discounted rate is available until 1st May. Payment can be made to the Duty Bar person at the Clubhouse, or sent to the Membership Secretary, Carole Hewison, 61, St. Johns Road, Ryde, I.W. PO33 2RW. Telephone 01983 614385. Cheques should be made payable to “Ryde Rowing Club”. It will be of great assistance to the Club if your subscriptions can be paid promptly - after 1st May the prompt payment discount ends and an increased rate of subscription will apply.
