The Clubs Men’s Masters squad had travelled to Henley to compete in the Henley Masters Regatta – an event with an international reputation raced over 1000m of the Henley Royal Regatta course. The Clubs Masters “C” coxless quad of Mick Jenner, Russell Page, Nick Pike and Ian Hayden were unfortunately knocked out on the Friday but produced better results when the split into small boats with Ian Hayden, racing in the Masters “B” single, Russell Page and Simon Saunders in a Masters “C” double and Nick Pike in the Masters “D” single all reaching their respective semi-finals.
