Woolston 31st May 03

On Saturday, 31st May the Club competed at Woolston Regatta, run by the Southampton Amateur Rowing Club, on Western Shore, Southampton and on Saturday, 7th June they competed at Southampton Town Regatta, run by the Southampton Rowing Association, and held of Mayflower Park, on Southampton Water. The Club had a strong contingent of seven coxed fours crews, two coxless pairs and three scullers competing at Woolston and an additional Coxed Four and Coxless Pair crew at Southampton Town.
 

In the Men's Senior Fours event at both Regatta's the Senior A Crew of Ben Ade, Ian Hayden, Matt Allsopp, Nick Pike and Clare Salter, cox were beaten into second place by a strong BTC crew who clearly represent the major opposition for the season other competing clubs being some lengths behind. At Southampton a Senior B crew of Steve Titmus, Chris Jenkins, Steve Cook and Steve Salter, coxed by Jodie Cocker also competed finishing in a creditable 5th place.
