At Woolston Regatta the Club continued its good start to the season with two wins in the fours events.

Last years Southcoast Championship winning Senior Four of Ben Ade, Mike Jenner, Matt Allsopp and Ian Hayden with Bryony Reeve as cox, racing together again in a Coastal boat for the first time since that triumph proved they are still a force to be reckoned with, winning in a very close race against a crew from Itchen Imperial.

The Men's Coastal Junior Crew of Tim Wiggins, Callum Lowe, Francais Moore and Tom Clark with Bryony Reeve in the coxswains seat once again also won but this time with relative ease to secure a second Championship point, although it is anticipated that the opposition will get tougher as the season progresses.

The Ladies Senior Four of Anna Bateman, Aimee Dibbens, Sophie Draper and Rachael Brimstone with Elena Gaslin steering finished 2nd in their final, against limited opposition, in their first race of the Coastal season.

In the Men's Senior Pairs the Ryde crew of Ben Ade and Ian Hayden, were disqualified, while in the lead, following a minor course infringement, in what was felt was a harsh decision by the umpires. In contrast the Men's Junior Pair of James Eklund and Jamie Lawson showed improvement finishing 3rd in their race.

In the Senior Sculling event Nick Pike finished 3rd, Matt Allsopp 4th and Mike Jenner 5th - which was disappointing as was the 2nd and 4th place of Junior Scullers Ian Hayden and Ben Ade although the close Senior Fours final held just a couple of races before and involving most of the Senior and Junior scullers probably had an impact on these results.

At the Wessex Junior Regatta on the Sunday there were wins for the Clubs Boys J11/J12 double of Sam Corney and Dale Buckett and for the Mixed J11/J12 Quad of Dale Buckett, Sam Corney, Emiley Rose and Christian Lacey - with Bryony Reeve coxing. There were also 2nd places for Sam Corney in the J11/J12 singles, for Ollie Gove and Adam Edwards in the Boys J15 Doubles, and for a Ryde/Avon County composite in the Girl J13 Double involving Ryde's Holly Evans. There was a third place for Dale Buckett in the Boys J11/J12 singles and for Bryony Reeve and Emiley Rose in the Girls J14 Double. Rounding up a succesful day for the Club was the 4th places of Elena gaskin and Bryony Reeve in the Girls J14 singles, Emiley Rose in the J11/J12 Girls singles and the Girls J14 Quad of Bryony Reeve, Holly Evans, Elena Gaskin and Emiley Rose with Cox Sam Corney.
